ABSTRAK

This study aims to examine and analyze the Role of Village Consultative Board (BPD) in Development in Kuto Village Tanjung Ulu Rawas District, North Musi Rawas Regency. The method used in this study is qualitative methods and data analysis techniques used in this study mliputi data reduction, display data and conclution drawing / verivication. The results of this study indicate the role of consultative bodies (BPD) in the development in the village of Kuto Tanjung can not be said optimal because if measured by seeing the physical and non-physical development Kuto Tanjung Village can be categorized as being. By looking at the results of observation, interview, and documentation BPD only play a role in physical development alone. Such as, the construction of drainage, places of worship and others. Meanwhile, non-physical development can not be seen the role of BPD. So very many once found the lack of Village BPD Kuto Tanjung one of them do not understand the role, function as a village official. The Village Consultative Board (BPD) has not received any information about its duties and functions as a village official.
